You Rule

Can you believe it's the last day of August?!

With that brings the school year!  I can't believe my little guy will be starting 4K on Tuesday!  This is a first for me, so I obviously am excited for him yet sad as it means my baby is growing!

I wanted to create his teacher a little card and right away knew the perfect set!

The Paper and Such set Bitty Love is perfect for creating teacher cards/gifts!
I stamped the image on the front of this little notecard I created and then again on yellow cardstock so that I could pop up the ruler!

And then finished by adding some Baker's Twine and gems!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Fav. Technique

This week's Sweet Stamps Challenge is a:

Favorite Technique

I found it kind of hard to decide what my favorite technique was!  As I like so many different ones!

So I decided to think of what has been my favorite technique seen I began my journey with SweetStamps.com, it then became very clear to me!!

I just love Parchment Crafting!  I was first introduced to this technique when I started on this design team, and love it!
I especially LOVE using some of Sweet Stamps butterflies to parchment craft!

For this card I used the Flowery Butterfly!
I just love how it turned out!  I stamped the butterfly first on one of the sheets of paper from one of my favorite Authentique paper pads Uncommon!  Cut it out, then stamped the butterfly on vellum and embossed with white embossing powder!  I then cut out a few of the sections of the butterfly so you could see the underneath paper even more!

Just love that result!!

I also love this Wonderful Day sentiment from SS!!

Flamingos in Flip Flops

Hello!

My little girl loves "Flingos" (Flamingos)!! So I was inspired to create this cute card:
I have had this fun stamp from Great Impressions called "Flamingos in Flip Flops"  for awhile now, but haven't had a chance to create with it, but once I got My Thoughts Exactly set Hello Summer I thought it would be a great match with my flamingo stamp!

The "Hello Summer" sentiment along with the beach ball and sun are a perfect addition for this card!!
My little girl just loves it!!

This week's Sweet Stamps Challenge is a:

Watercolor

I used my Creative Inspiration Paints as watercolors to color in the flowers from the Fancy Flowers 2 Set!!

I just love the shimmer:
I used my paint brush to add a little water to the color of paint I was working with and then painted in the flowers!

I used Lavender, Royal Purple, Light Purple, Plum and Amethyst!

Pretty Flowers

Here's a digital layout I created of the kiddos!

They just love helping me in my flower beds, so I used some pictures of flowers in my yard.

The pictures of the fish and of them were taken in a Healing Garden that I maintain for a local hospital.  They enjoy visiting and seeing all the pretty flowers I plant.  They especially LOVE seeing the fish!

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

---------------------------

I'm so excited to share my recap project with you today!

I used the new Mason Jar Add On I and Mason Jar Add On II to dress up this jar of  homemade Rhubarb Jam!
The Rhubarb Jam sentiment is from the Mason Jar Add On I set and the label it is stamped on is from the Mason Jar Add On II set.   I used some new Princess Crochet Trim along the top of the cover!!  I just love this trim!!

I used some of the new Victorian Rose Satin Ribbon around the jar behind the label and flowers.  I also used some of IBS's lovely flowers!!

On the lid I used a sentiment from the Mason Jar Add I On set.  Underneath that die cut circle I used a background stamp from the Vintage Background set to tie in the blue circle piece of paper a little better.

How fun!!

IBS August Sneak Peeks

Good morning !!

Tomorrow is the August release day at Inspired By Stamping!!
Are you ready?!

I'm excited to share a few of the things I have created with the new stamps along with some other wonderful new goodies being offered by IBS!!

---------------------------

First up, is a fun, easy and quick project that I had fun doing!

I used the new Spice Jar Labels for this project.

I first started by stamping my label and spice sentiment, then fussy cut it out:

Next I ran the label through my Xtron 1.5" Create-A-Sticker, to make the label into a sticker, so that I could adhere it to the jar!!

My finished project:
How fun and easy!!  I added a pearl on each side just to spice it up!!

We make a lot of Chili in winter, so we always have Chili Powder in the house!!  Thought it would be fun to create this jar as well!
At the top of the jar I used some permanent sticky tape around the rim then add some new Scallop Crochet Trim!!  Love this new trim being released this month!!

To spice this one up, I added a few rhinestones!

---------------------------

I have a fun layout to share with you for my little guys album!

I used the new Mason Jars set to create this layout!!

Close-up:
I used some of the new White Fabric Tape to create a border across the page!  LOVE!

I stamped the mason jar twice, once on vellum and once on white paper.  I used the vellum for the top layer, to make it look more like a jar!  So the stamped butterfly actually looks like it is in the inside!  The butterfly is from the Butterfly Wings set! (LOVE!)

I used last month's release stamp set Fancy Alphabet to create the title, along with the Butterfly Wings to create a few more butterflies around the title!

---------------------------

I have one more layout to share with you!

I used some of the spice sentiments from the Spice Jar Labels set to create a strip of paper to add to this layout I created for my little girls album.

Last month I created a layout for my little guys album, but never got around to finishing my little girl's!  But I am so glad I waited!

As this spice set was a perfect addition for this layout!!

Close-up:
The title was made using the Fancy Alphabet and the stars are from the Oh, Baby! set.
I also used the Yummy Food Labels set to create the Pasta tag.

Another reason I am so glad I waited to finish her page is because of the LOVELY new trim being released this month!!
I used some Victorian Crochet Trim for this layout!  Isn't it lovely?!?!
